Jeremy Sheffield

Jeremy Sheffield born 17 March 1966

Jeremy Sheffield is an Essex-born English actor.

Sheffield trained as a ballet dancer with the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden before becoming an actor. However his ballet career was ended at the age of 27 by a broken toe and torn ligament. He appeared as a dancer in Queen's music video for I Want to Break Free. This was followed years later by a much more prominent music video role where he played the male lead opposite Natalie Imbruglia in the video for Torn.

He has notably been in the UK drama Holby City where he played Alex Adams (2000-2003). He starred in the 2005 movies The Wedding Date alongside Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney and Creep. Other TV credits to his name include Murder in Suburbia (2004), the BBC's Hearts Of Gold, the role of Tom Rourke in the episode 'Coming Up For Air' in the BBC1 series The Afternoon Play in 2003, and appearances in New Tricks and Hotel Babylon. Sheffield also had a cameo appearance in the final episode of Green Wing. He is a familiar (and handsome) face on British TV screens.

Sheffield is well known for an advertisement for Renault Clio with the French actress Annelise Hesme entitled 'Ben and Sophie'. In 2006 (broadcast 2007) Sheffield appeared in BBC 2's Safari School where eight celebrities compete to become rangers in a South African Reserve. In the final, Sheffield came second to singing coach Carrie Grant.

In January 2010 he took part in ITV show Dancing on Ice alongside professional skater Suzie Lipanova but was 3rd to be voted out, his previous dancing experience seemingly reluctant to translate on to the ice.

He is openly gay and has been interviewed in Attitude Magazine several times.
